Taken at 8 AM on September 8, 2011, near Ponca, a large Bull Elk has established his harem of cows and calves and bugled 4 times while I sat and watched. A fairly young cow and two fawns of different size waded out into the Buffalo River for a drink while the other 20 cows and calves and the dominant Bull Elk watched on. Click to Enlarge.
