Henson Creek, empties into the Little Buffalo River, just north of Parthenon, Arkansas. The creek winds through a rugged Boston mountain valley; very rock, steep, and narrow. The creek falls over 800 feet in less than 5 miles through the central part of Newton County Arkansas. This gradient make for some spectacular whitewater in the spring and late fall after good rains.
