As of last week, things were getting pretty dry. Aside from heavy dew each morning with cool temperatures; rain is needed. This photo was taken from near Highway 74 at the edge of Kilgore Mountain and shows the autumn beginning to take shape.
Henson Creek runs from the base of Shiloh Mountain to its confluence with the Little Buffalo River in the middle point of the picture. Moss and Smith Mountain are visible in the right upper background. As you can see, the countryside is dry and hazy. The village of Parthenon is just out of sight to the middle right.
