Life and Wildlife along the Little Buffalo River

Even though most of the trees in the area of the long three mile downhill grade to Kyle’s Landing were cut in 1965, in the last 1/4 miles there are many older and mature trees to view. Old oaks and hickories are present here, some maybe 200 years old (as a guess). The following picture was taken by my sister about mid-summer on a trip to Kyles:
