Life and Wildlife along the Little Buffalo River

The velvet on the bull elk’s horns is thinning out as the horns themselves continue to grow; this photo taken at 6 AM this morning near Boxley Pond with a 960 mm Canon Lens. Now back in the Valley at Murray on the Little Buffalo River, the temperature is 103F but it is beginning to cloud up; there is a small thunderstorm down at Oark on the Mulberry River:
