I got 0.08 inches of rain between 3-4 PM Tuesday; even though the radar showed storms over the area of my monitor. Then I scanned the stations around the area and a few places got 0.6-1.0 inches of rain, especially northwest of Parthenon. By the times the storms reached central Newton County, they had lost their potential for even steady rainfall. Now this morning comes notice from the US that our drought is much worse than anticipated; see charts below:
