This photo photo was taken last September 29th from Mt. Judea above the Vendor Valley looking back off the Boston Mountains back north towards the Springfield plateau in northern Arkansas and Missouri (75 miles north). The storm built rapidly in the late afternoon and the wind and rain came within 15 minutes of the photo. Just 0.36 inches of rain fell but the thunder continues into the night time hours.
