The Hurricane Wilderness lies about 20 miles south of my home base in Newton County, AR. The colors are really peaking earlier than I thought, and with storms tonight and winds to 40 MPH from the northwest forecast on Thursday, this may be the peak day.
You have captured great photos. This one too is just so good. I have never been to Arkansas and am planning to come during thanksgiving time. I know I wont get to see any fall foliage in Arkansas in november end, but do you think I stand any luck this year?
Some years, early November is beautiful; some years the color comes early like this year. But early November will still show plenty of rusts and oranges. In the mountain country this can be a beautiful stage.
