Ive been here 5 years now, and the drier years seem to produce the most brilliant leave colors in the fall. This was a very wet year (all year with nearly 50″ of rain so far), and the trees are either still green or have faded colors and are losing their leaves, or went from colorful to brown overnight. Today some of the oranges and yellows are mixed in with the dead and green leaves, so I am going back out to taken a few final photos of the 2014 color changeover:
