One of our most beautiful birds in Arkansas, I saw last Saturday. Once you spot one, you will never forget the experience. I had heard their call for 3 weeks prior but did not spot or photograph until Saturday afternoon. He is the photo I took with a 50D and a EF300L f/2.8 IS Lens (not a good photo); so I have incuded on from last summer also:

We had nearly 2.5 inches of rain on December 20 thru 21, 2013. I drove to Steel Creek and to Ponca on that day and took a few photos with a point and shoot Canon G15. There were quite a few pour-offs flowing off Roark Bluff, and it only got heavier. The Ponca Bridge is the last photo.

From the backyard. They have grown quite a bit and, as is normal, they all have white tips on their tails. There are 3; only 2 of the 3 pictured:

It is very early for Bluets; usually late February in Arkansas ! But, on 1/27 I first saw them in sunny areas in my side yard, then the storms, then cold, now they are back again, freshly opened. Also lots of Witch Hazel and Hepatica  along the rivers and creeks, a few Johnny Jump Ups again here and there. Spring is coming.
