Then it is foggy and hazy, and the sun has risen over Henderson Mountain (about 7 AM now), you get these views in late summer morning, when driving out. The first photo is of the tress flanking Murray Road, the second is up Highway 327 towards Wayton, AR., climbing Henderson Mountain:

We had nearly 2.5 inches of rain on December 20 thru 21, 2013. I drove to Steel Creek and to Ponca on that day and took a few photos with a point and shoot Canon G15. There were quite a few pour-offs flowing off Roark Bluff, and it only got heavier. The Ponca Bridge is the last photo.

Woke up to 47F this morning and its about 70F at noon and beautiful. A few of the later greening trees are starting to get their leaves now (i.e.. Black Walnuts, Sweet Gums, Sycamores). There was heavy fog at dawn and a female cardinal was watching her nest:

The summits of Round Mountain and Mt. Judea were both to the south of Jasper, Arkansas were both coated with freezing fog about 4 weeks ago. I missed posting this photo at that time. Today, in honor of the cold weather coming at the end of this week; I am Posting it:

As I stopped in Jasper on Saturday morning I noticed that the top of Round Mountain (south of Jasper), was encased in ice. Drove up to Pruitt and took a photo of the Buffalo River. It looked beautiful and floatable !!
