Things are hard to figure ! We’ve had record cold, snow, not much sun, and the Monarda that blooms in June decides to burst out. It is by a pond, and the Red-winged Blackbirds love to sit in this large patch. The daisies are also in full bloom, I think a little early also (by 2 weeks). I’m astounded that natural events happen the way they do – no logical explanation ! Photo taken last week with a Canon 7D and 300 f/2.8 lens by the pond across the road:
